In Western Kenya, finding clean water is a daily challenge, especially for elderly people.
They trek for miles to fetch water from rivers and old open wells which are far from their homes.
A modern well will save them from walking long distances through bushes to sources of possibly unhygenic water. This will improve their standard of living considerably.
In March 2021, Help Aid Africa partnered with Caring is Sharing to refurbish water wells in several locations.
The locations where the work was performed is the following:
Sibembe Village in Bukhayo Central - Busia County,
Ejinja Village in Kayonzo Kakamega County, and
Ogalo Village - Busia County.
